Kyle Brooks , is the Director of Production for the Toronto office. Kyle has an extensive background in theatre production and stage management. He brings to his work a particular focus on artistic detail and finesse, having staged theatrical and corporate events across Canada and around the world. Kyle manages events from concept through to fruition with exceptional enthusiasm and dedication. A recent press article referred to Kyle as rugged and cute, although he hasn’t let the fame get to him, Kyle can still be found leading the team with his unwavering desire for the best for all.

James Brett , a founder and principal of Mediaco, started at age 16 as a technician in the corporate events and entertainment industry, working for a leading west coast audiovisual company. Three years later, he started Mediaco with business partner Kevin Leinbach. James and Kevin saw the opportunity to meet the demand for a higher level of innovation and excellence. Focusing on that vision, and leveraging emerging video and computer technologies, they have built Mediaco from a local provider into a specialized national company. James also heads up business development, and the sales and marketing team, as well as serving as one of the chief innovators and consistent guardian of overall production quality.

Daniel is driven by the new challenges that each new event brings, and thoroughly enjoys the teamwork and camaraderie that success requires. In his nearly 20 years in the industry, Tom’s passion for excellence has been amply demonstrated at events in Five Star and Five Diamond facilities, and as producer of world-leader summits. A recent career highlight was co-producing the event where Vancouver got the nod to host the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Steve Best one of Vancouver’s production managers, has two decades of experience in film and television, having played several key roles including producing and directing. Steve brings his extensive production capabilities with a fresh eye to the live event production world. This unique perspective has garnered imagery and production qualities uncommon in the staging arena, but now becoming widely sought after. When Steve’s not managing a project, he can usually be found jumping out of planes or deep sea diving in the local ocean.

Greg Barrett

Greg Barrett, is a production coordinator in the Mediaco Calgary team. Breaking through his first decade in the AV staging business, Greg is no stranger to hard work. Affectionately known within the Calgary office as ‘drape commander’, his experiences have led him to manage events in everything from hotels to stockyards, aircraft hangers to zoos and arts spaces to industrial warehouses. Patient, disciplined, attentive and detail oriented as well as being consistent and reliable, are qualities that have made him an invaluable resource to clients of all genres. While he works everyday with the latest high technology equipment, Greg has a passion for all things vintage, preferring his vinyl collection to an iPod and 35mm over megapixels.
